ATTENTION ALL HOUSTON CLAIMS ASSOCIATION MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS - If you have not renewed your 2010 membership, NOW is the time. Membership must be current to remain on the mailing/e-mail list, receive the monthly newsletters, and receive CE credits at the March and future luncheons and seminars.

MARCH LUNCHEON MEETING

Houston Claims Association's March luncheon meeting will be held Wednesday, March 10, 11:15 am, at the HILTON SW, 6780 SW FREEWAY (US 59 between Hillcroft and Bellaire Blvd). Jamie Cooper of Martin, Disiere, Jefferson, & Wisdom, LLP, will present a one-hour program, "Ethics Feud - Duties to Insureds/Claimants and Conflicts." The program has been approved by TDI for one hour ethics credit. Cost is $25.00 for members; $30.00 for non-members. Please RSVP attendees' names to the Association, phone/fax 281.933.4028 or register through HCA website, by 5:00 pm, Friday, March 5.

If you have special dietary needs, please let us know when reservations are made.

VENDORS: If you are a current advertiser in the HCA newsletter/web page and would like a display table, please advise when your reservations are made.

June - Half-day seminar offering 3 hours of general credit and one hour of ethics.

2010 SPRING OUTING

Mark your calendars for Monday, April 26, for the 2010 HCA Spring Outing. We will again be playing 2 - 18 hole courses at Cypresswood Golf Course, 21602 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX 77373. This always a fun day and benefits the HCA Scholarship Fund.

The Board of Directors is very aware of the current economic climate and has made some changes in the venue to help our sponsors stay within their reduced budgets. All post-tournament activities (lunch, announcing tournament winners, closest to the hole and longest drive winners, and drawings for mulligan and vendor sponsored door prizes) will be held under the pavilion at Cypresswood. All vendors wishing to have displays are encouraged to be hole sponsors; and, to reach maximum exposure, consider one hole on each course. Each sponsor is also asked to sponsor a door prize for the drawing. Forms for hole/beverage carts sponsorships and team registration are below. We are looking forward to having you join us.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL DUE NOW

The 2010 Membership Renewal Form may be printed from the link below. Fees for 2010 remain at $35.00. Corporate rates for applications submitted together and paid for on a company check are $32.50 each for 6 - 15 employees and $30.00 each for 16 or more employees. For new employees, please use the new member application form found below.




APRIL ANNUAL MEETING/BOARD ELECTIONS

HCA's Annual Meeting will be held at the April 14 luncheon meeting. At this meeting scholarships are awarded and the 2010 - 2011 Board of Directors will be elected. Anyone wishing to place his/her name on the ballot needs to contact any current Board member or the Association office.
